About Ben: Ben started his athletic endeavors while always chasing after his 3 older brothers which led him to compete in track and field and cross country at Allen High School. The 800m was his race of choice with a career best of 1.58.46 and a 1600m best of 4.40.42. After graduating Ben missed the community and team environment which led him to CrossFit. Ben attended the University of Arkansas for two short years while being caught up in the CrossFit world and competed in many local competitions and also was part of a team during the CrossFit Regionals in 2011. He obtained his B.S. in Nutrition and Foods from Texas State University in 2014 with the intention of helping people to better manage their health and well-being. Ben has been coaching for 6+ years with his CrossFit Level 1 certification while concentrating his efforts on personal wellness and nutrition. If Ben isn’t in the gym he’s trying something new outdoors and trying to catch as many rays of sun as possible or trying to please his two fur babies Ellie and Indie, which only desire freshly caught salmon…
