About Erica: Erica joined the CrossFit Austin family as a member in 2011, when she immediately fell in love with the sport. A year later, Erica received her CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certification and joined the CrossFit Austin coaching staff! Fitness has always been a part of Erica’s life. She played sports throughout middle and high school and has always been an avid runner. However, it was through CrossFit that Erica discovered weightlifting and instantly found a new passion in which she has invested time, energy and dedication to improve and refine. Erica is currently receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sports Science in Texas State University and is the Head of CrossFit Austin’s Olympic Weightlifting Club, Austin Weightlifting.
Message from Coach Cuellar: I’m just your average girl who happens to have a sincere passion for health and fitness. There is nothing I enjoy more than being able to help others achieve a happy and healthy lifestyle and witness their journey. Like many others, I have endured the struggles that come along with trying to attain the recipe for success, but luckily I was blessed enough to come across CrossFit Austin! CFA has had an amazing impact on my life. They have been my supporters, my encouragers, and the stepping-stone I needed to learn what success really means. Through this journey I’ve learned that the recipe is really simple; health and fitness are a lifestyle and the ingredients include exercise, good nutrition, sleep, dedication, patience, and a great attitude. Yes, it’s that’s simple! I’ll leave you all with an important thing I’ve learned along the way: learn to step out of your comfort zone and surround yourself with amazing people. I have found that this is the key to achieving greatness! Greatness is in all of us — don’t ever give up until you find it!
