CrossFit CenTex will be hosting the Barbells for Boobs Amazing Grace 2011 fundraiser on October 15th. The event raises money for Mammograms in Action which helps to provide funding for qualified women and men who need screening and/or diagnostic procedures in the prevention of breast cancer in our community. By supporting Barbells For Boobs, we help low-income and uninsured individuals to get the examinations they need in order to stay cancer free!
CrossFit Centex is honored to be hosting the Pink Bra Tour this year; please join us on October 15th at 9:00 am at CrossFit CenTex for Amazing Grace! Each individual will complete the CrossFit workout “Grace:” 30 reps, ground to overhead, for time (M:135, W:95). This workout can be scaled.

Patrick Daniel Tillman (Pictured on left)

“Pat” was a professional football player who left the National Football League and enlisted in the United States Army in the aftermath of the September 11th attacks. He joined the Army Rangers and served multiple tours in combat before he was killed in the mountains of Afghanistan. He was a recipient of the Silver Star, the third highest honor in the military, and a Purple Heart. Pat is survived by his wife Marie. He is also remembered through the foundation named in his honor; the mission being to inspire people to make positive changes in themselves and in the world around them. “Fight Gone Bad”
In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The stations are:
3 rounds:
Wall-ball: 20 pound ball, 10 ft target. (Reps)
Sumo deadlift high-pull: 75 pounds (Reps)
Box Jump: 20″ box (Reps)
Push-press: 75 pounds (Reps)
Row: calories (Calories)
*The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.
